Key Responsibilities
· Greets and interacts with arriving guests when they enter the outlet, ensures guests
first impression.
· Assesses available tables for guests and escorts them to the table.
· Estimates wait times for guests, monitors the guest waiting list, and ensures the needs of
Guests are met while they are waiting.
· Ensures that waiting guests are made comfortable and kept informed of the status of
their waiting times to be seated or waiting to take orders.
· Monitors the open dining sections of the restaurant for empty and cleaned tables.
· Answers the telephone, receives reservations, and organizes tables to accommodate
large parties.
· Takes initial drink orders (if assigned).
· Records the number of covers and turnover of the operational shift.
· Understands and strictly adheres to the rules and regulations established for the employee handbook and company policies concerning fire, hygiene, health, and safety.
· Handles guest and employee enquiries courteously and efficiently, reporting complaints or problems if no immediate solution can be found, whilst feeding back a prompt follow-up.
· Ensures high standards of personal presentation and grooming.
· Attends and contributes to all meetings and trainings as required.
· Provides a courteous and professional service at all times.
· Maintains positive colleague interactions with good working relationships.
Requirements
· Prior customer service experience in the hospitality industry
· Positive attitude and interpersonal skills
· Good communication skills and phone etiquette
· Flexibility when working alternating shifts
· Ability to work under pressure and multitask.
· Good personality and service-minded
· Strong communication skills, Proficiency in English.
