Key Responsibilities:

Operational

• Greets and interacts with arriving guests when they enter the outlet, ensures guest’s first impression.
• Assesses available table for guests and escorts them to the table.
• Estimates wait times for guests, monitors guest waiting list, and ensures the needs of guests are met while they are waiting.
• Ensures that waiting guests are made comfortable and kept informed of the status of their waiting times to be seated or waiting for take orders.
• Monitors the open dining sections of the restaurant for empty and cleaned tables.
• Answers telephone, receives reservations and organizes tables to accommodate large parties.
• Takes initial drink orders. (if assigned)
• Records number of covers and turn-over of operation shift.

General

• Understands and strictly adheres to rules and regulations established in Employee Handbook and company policies concerning fire, hygiene, health and safety.
• Handles guest and employee enquiries in a courteous and efficient manner, reporting complaints or problems if no immediate solution can be found, whilst feeding back a prompt follow up.
• Ensures high standards of personal presentation and grooming.
• Attends and contributes to all meetings and trainings as required.
• Provides a courteous and professional service at all times.
• Maintains positive colleague interactions with good working relationships.
