Key Responsibilities:
Operational:
· Cleans assigned areas e.g. dishwashing area, kitchen areas, silver room, pastry shop and corridors.
· Segregates and removes trash and garbage from all assigned areas and transfer to provided containers and steam clean garbage bin
· Operates an automatic dishwashing machine for cleaning and washing tableware e.g. plates, cups, saucers, silverware, glasses and other dishes in accordance with standard operating procedure.
· Washes and cleans cooking utensils and kitchen equipment e.g. pots, pans, and trays in accordance with standard operating procedure
· Washes worktables, sinks, walls, ceiling, air vents, refrigerators, and meat blocks, gutter drains and grease traps.
· Sweeps, scrubs and mops floors of assigned areas daily.
· Polishes silver using burnishing machine tumbler, chemical dip, buffing wheel, and hand cloth.
· Transfers supplies and equipment between storage and work areas
· Provide needed utensils and equipment for banquet functions.
· Maintain service and other equipment in good working condition.
· Ensure low breakage of inventory.
· Aid in taking physical inventories of china, glass, and silverware.
General:
· Understands and strictly adheres to rules and regulations established in Employee Handbook and company policies concerning fire, hygiene, health and safety.
· Handles guest and employee enquiries in a courteous and efficient manner, reporting complaints or problems if no immediate solution can be found, whilst feeding back a prompt follow up.
· Ensures high standards of personal presentation and grooming.
· Attends and contributes to all meetings and trainings as required.
· Provides a courteous and professional service at all times.
· Maintains positive colleague interactions with good working relationships.
· To carry out any other reasonable duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.
