Key Responsibilities

Hardware and Software Support:

·      Oversee the selection, procurement, and deployment of hardware and software solutions to support retail operations.

·      Ensure the optimal configuration and performance of all IT systems within retail environments.

Retail Business Understanding:

·      Develop a comprehensive understanding of retail business processes, pain points, and technology requirements.

·      Collaborate closely with retail stakeholders to identify opportunities for technology-driven improvements.

Software Design and Selection:

·      Design and develop custom software solutions tailored to the specific needs of the retail business.

·      Evaluate and select appropriate hardware specifications to support software applications.

Day-to-Day Support:

·      Provide timely and effective technical support to retail users.

·      Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues.

SLA Management:

·      Monitor and control service level agreements (SLAB) for IT services within the retail business.

·      Utilize IT ticketing systems to track and manage support requests.

System Integration:

·      Ensure seamless integration between various software systems, including SAP,POS, and other relevant platforms.

·      Resolve data exchange issues and optimize data flow between systems.

Technical Skills:

·      Proficiency in various programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, C#).

·      Expertise in database management systems (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle).

·      Solid understanding of network infrastructure and security principles.

·      Experience with retail-specific software applications (e.g., POS systems, inventory management software).

Soft Skills:

·      Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

·      Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

·      Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

·      Proven project management skills.

 

Qualifications

·      Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field.

·      Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in a software support or IT management role, with a strong focus on the retail industry.
