Eastern luxury is in the spotlight at JIM THOMPSON accent - a new retail store in Melbourne's interior design precinct Prahran. The concept embraces the daily rituals of living with the internationally acclaimed Jim Thompson lifestyle brand of furniture, and interior accessories for living/relaxation, dining and bedroom.

Famous for Thai silk textiles for interiors and fashion, Jim Thompson collaborated with London-based designer Ou Baholyodhin who was appointed Creative Director of Jim Thompson in 2000, to extend its lifestyle brand into furniture and accessories.

Ou’s furniture designs are characterized by a warm and sensuous sophistication, with simple bold forms giving a contemporary yet subtle reference to Thai tradition which enriches their timeless appeal.

The Jim Thompson signature is about luxury, beautiful detailing, simplicity of design and the use of natural materials. “The concept enhances the unique experiences that we all feel in the different rooms of our homes,” says director Pierre Hivert.
